Is it just me or is breakfast one of the most stressful meals of the day in a busy home with kids? Something about watching the clock to make sure you wrap up in time for everyone to get to where they need to go (work, school, daycare) by a particular time feels like that bomb countdown scene in an action film. You know the scene. The main character has a certain amount of time to locate and disable the bomb before it detonates. That’s how breakfast time often feels in my house.

And that’s why I LOVE overnight oats recipes for kids. It allows me to serve my baby a fresh, nutrient diverse and filling meal that doesn’t require morning prep. Simply heat and serve. Bomb deactivated!

Why it’s good for baby: These ingredients will give your baby a dose of brain-friendly zinc. While meat, red meat in particular, and shellfish contain the highest amounts of zinc, you can increase your child’s zinc intake through other foods as well.

The great news about zinc is that a little goes a long way!
