The Store & Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of The Tot Café, ensuring a smooth, joyful, and efficient experience for both caregivers and children. This role combines hospitality management with operational oversight and team leadership to support our mission of transforming mealtimes into moments of nutrition, connection, and joy for families.
Customer Experience & Hospitality
Cultivate a warm, welcoming environment aligned with our brand values.
Ensure high standards in customer service, food quality, and cleanliness.
Address customer feedback and resolve concerns quickly and empathetically.
Operations Management
Oversee daily operations including staff scheduling, inventory management, vendor coordination, and facilities upkeep.
Monitor food safety, compliance, and quality assurance standards.
Team Leadership
Hire, train, and supervise café and kitchen staff.
Foster a culture of inclusivity, equity, and joy among team members.
Lead regular team check-ins and ensure staff performance meets expectations.
Sales & Financials
Track and report on daily/weekly/monthly sales.
Assist in driving growth via marketing ideas, event coordination, and upselling strategies.
Community & Brand Integration
Support on-site events and partnerships with schools, health providers, and nonprofits.
Represent the brand authentically to caregivers and families.
Qualifications
Experience working in hospitality and/or food service environments.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, sales/financial reporting, and inventory management.
Proven ability to lead teams, set performance goals, and provide feedback/mentorship to team members.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
Passion for community engagement and joyful service, especially in child-oriented environments.
ServSafe (or equivalent) certification and CPR/First Aid a plus.
Compensation Plan
Base Pay:
$22/hour (approximately $45,760/year for full-time employment)
Variable Compensation:
Monthly Sales Bonus: 2.5% of monthly net sales, payable monthly.
Example: $60,000 in monthly sales = $1,500 bonus.
Quarterly Performance Bonus: Up to $1,000 based on scorecard performance

Role and Responsibilities
Little Cocoa Bean Co. is looking for a retail associate who enjoys working with customers and is enthusiastic about selling and promoting children’s food and wellness products. The retail associate will greet and assist customers by providing recommendations, processing payments, and creating a welcoming and joyful environment for families. The ideal candidate for this position has experience working in retail and/or restaurants and has a strong dedication to providing exceptional service for customers.
Customer Service & Hospitality
Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers visiting the Tot Café.
Answer questions related to the merchandise and store policies and locate items.
Café & Retail Operations
Process payments and keep the sales floor tidy and well stocked.
Assist in maintaining the back-stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor.
Utilize the company’s POS system to handle customer purchases
Collaborate with team members to keep sales floor area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
Experience working in hospitality and/or food service environments.
Passion for community engagement and joyful service, especially in child-oriented environments.
Reliable, punctual, and thrives in fast-paced environments.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
ServSafe (or equivalent) certification and CPR/First Aid a plus.
Compensation
Pay is based on experience, but starts at $15 per hour.
Quarterly bonuses for positive customer experiences and operational excellence.

Little Cocoa Bean Co. is seeking warm, reliable kitchen staff to support the heart of our Tot Café operations. Because we partner with a co-manufacturer for food production, this role will be focused on organizing, prepping, and maintaining an effective kitchen to keep our café running smoothly, safely, and with care. The ideal candidate for this position has experience supporting food service operations in a fast-paced setting with a focus on food safety practices, teamwork, and organization.
Food Service Operations
Receive, organize, and stock food and packaging inventory.
Assemble, label, and prepare packaged food and drink items for service.
Ensure food safety standards are met.
Back-of-House SupportMaintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area and equipment.
Wash and sanitize dishes, equipment, and surfaces.
Collaboration and TeamworkAssist with café prep and staging tasks to support the front-of-house team
Collaborate with café teammates in a respectful, inclusive environment.
Support café events, catering orders, or deliveries as needed.
Qualifications
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Reliable, punctual, and thrives in fast-paced environments.
Previous kitchen or back-of-house experience is a plus, but not required.
Must comply with all local food safety and sanitation guidelines (training will be provided).
