Papaya Is Your Blender's Best Friend
Let’s talk about papaya! Weird looking fruit but amazingly versatile and yummy. Native to southern Mexico and northern South America, it thrives in tropical and subtropical regions of the world.
Never eaten or cooked papaya? Don’t worry! We’re here to help.
Papaya is really forgiving. You can do just about anything with this tropical fruit. Most are very large so you’ll yield a good amount of food from just one.
To prepare, cut your ripe papaya in half and scoop out the little black seeds.
Now the fun part. What to do with this papaya?
You can make a creamy smoothie by blending it with a nut milk like almond milk. Add mango and honey (if the baby is old enough).
You can also blend your papaya with plain Greek yogurt and ginger for a refreshing start to the day.
Papaya+ginger is a winning combo.
For a great lunch/dinner option toss papaya with seasoned quinoa and cooked spinach.
Babies who are just beginning their journey with solids will enjoy a simple combination of papaya blended with apple and a pinch of cinnamon.
We hope you enjoy this fruit as much as we do!
